I am absolutely thrilled to be your child's Kindergarten Teacher! I would like to introduce myself and give you some background on me! :)

I was born and raised in Miami, FL and moved to Cape Coral when I was 18 years old. My husband and I currently live in Cape Coral where we are exploring the fun of new home ownership! We were married in January 2014 on a beautiful day out on Bokeelia's gorgeous Tarpon Lodge! We are expecting our first child, a sweet baby boy, at the end of November!

 

I graduated from Barry University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, then immediately went on to pursue my Masters Degree in Public Adminstration at FGCU, graduating in 2010. I am currently attending FGCU, pursuing my Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

I enjoy spending time with my family, my puppies and friends, working on house projects, and just relaxing! I love spending time at the Gulf Coast Humane Society (with the kids reading to the dogs!) and love overseeing our Watch D.O.G.S program here at CME.

 

This is my eighth year teaching; my sixth year in Kindergarten. Kindergarten is truly where my heart is! This is my fifth year teaching at Christa McAuliffe and I am so happy to do so. I LOVE what I do! Believe it or not, I was originally a criminal justice major and changed it when I had a part time job coaching gymnastics - kids keep everything FUN!

 

As your child's teacher it is my priority to ensure your child's success and to communicate with you on a consistent basis. Teamwork is the motto I live by in my classroom - together everyone achieves more. I am excited to continue to implement learning through play in my classroom, along with the movement towards the 21st century classroom (click link for more info). I welcome parent volunteers as I strongly believe in the positive impact parent invovlement has on student success. The kids will learn a lot and they will have a lot of fun along the way!
